A temporary village has been constructed on the top of Rhodopa Mountains to celebrate the new Millennium. The President of Bulgaria patronized the meeting of old families’ members coming from all over the world. Light wooden constructions with tents and cords have been designed to create joyful and comfortable scenery for the event and to shelter different shopping and recreation activities. The project aims to accommodate all the facilities without harming the natural environment. It creates an organized but picturesque environment, which corresponds to the powerful nature of the mountain.
Millennium Village was nominated for Laureate of UAB, 2000.
